Thailand has been a favorite destination for travelers, young and old. The country has been a paradise for every kind of traveler as there is so much that the country has to offer other than just providing a colorful background to your Instagram posts.
The Leisure Traveler
If you love lounging and taking your sweet time to enjoy the scenery, the beach or even the comfort of your hotel room then Thailand should be your dream travel destination.
It offers all the luxuries that you can think of. Secluded islands, peaceful sanctuaries and lavish hotels that can give you that dream vacation you’ve been pining for. Start your journey from Bangkok where you can take a pick from a host of hotels that offer the perfect balance of comfort and affordability. Hotel prices in Thailand are hard to beat. Plan for a day or two in the coastlines of Pattaya, Phuket or even Phi Phi Island, to get a dose of vitamin sea. You’d be surprised how much you can stretch budget as there are plenty of hotel options in these locations as well.
The Travel Photographer
Everywhere you go in Thailand will give you sites that are just a marvel to the eyes. From the rich rural landscapes and gorgeous ancient architecture to the busy city streets filled with taxis in myriad of hues , you sure will find your money shot here. Your camera lenses will fall in-love with the different shapes, colors and textures of Thailand.

The Foodie
Don’t get me started with the food! I traveled to Thailand not only to experience its culture but also because I LOVE Thai food as much as I love Thai Massage J. You’ll be in curry heaven, I’ve never seen curry in different shades (literally!) of vibrant red, yellow and green. Seafood, fresh vegetables, Laab, Pad Thai, Spicy Tom Yum, Tom Kha Kai are staple favorites. Street food is also very popular in Thailand you’ll see Kao Niew Moo Yang in every street corner best eaten hot off the grill. Just like moo yang, grilled chicken is found everywhere. It's hard to walk a few meters without detecting the scent.
Travel Tip : Thai Milk Tea is a must specially on warm summer trips.
The Shopper
Bangkok is a Mecca for shoppers. The Pratunam District is home to hundreds if not thousands of shops selling all kinds of retail items, from clothes, shoes, bags, wigs and even fake lashes. Prices can drop really low depending on the bulk of your purchases.
Travel Tip: You can even haggle for the best price both inside and outside the shopping malls in Pratunam.
Chatuchak Market is also a delightful shopping area where you can find mostly souvenirs, clothes and gifts items. You’ll see plenty of shoppers hording all sorts of items in this open market space.
Travel Tip: When you’re finished shopping and need to stretch or relax, head across the street to the Chatuchak park. You’ll find vendors renting out mats where you can sit or lay while feeding the birds in the park. You can have a taste of their famous Thai Mangoes also available in the vicinity.

The Culture and History Buff
Those who are fascinated by history will love to visit the ancient cities of Ayutthaya, Sukhothai and Si Satchanalai. Each ancient city has a beautiful story and helps us understand how the Thais are able to keep their culture alive in the present times. Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai should also be on your list .
Whichever kind of traveler you may be Thailand definitely has something in store for you.
Additional Travel Tips:
